Pool Party!

Look who snuck out of the house!




And guess who found her and herded her back inside?! ME!



Run Molly, Run!



After Molly was put back inside, Mom asked Ben to help water the grass!




That way she doesn't have to go and move the sprinkler.




Ben does it for her!




He gets all the dry spots! High and low.




Except sometimes chores make him angry! Grr....




Uh, oh.... What happened??




It wasn't me!!




Let's fill up the pool instead. I need to cool off my feet!




And then take a dip.




Even Ben slowed down enough to have a swim! Ahhh!!!

Swimming on Sunday

On Sunday, Mom took us to the woods to hike. We were having a blast until we came across the "Train Tracks of Death". All of us took off across and started falling through the slats. Mom had a heart attack and started screaming bloody murder. Especially when Ben got stuck and then tried to flail himself off the side! Of course, there are no pictures of the incident...




Afterwards, Mom calmed down and we climbed down under the tracks.





We followed the stream and it led to the Yadkin River! Yay, swimming!





Jack and I jumped right in!





Even Miss Ellie took her very first dip! I think she was as shocked as we were!



We were all waiting for her when she made it back!



She was SO proud of herself!

Mr. Ben decided that swimming wasn't his cup of tea...

This is as far in as he would go! Silly dog!

Not Jack! He's a swimming maniac now that I've shown him how fun it is!

He fetched all the sticks!

And Ben watched from the shore.

And so did Ellie. One swim was good enough for her!

When we were done swimming, we started digging to China. Ben thought it was super fun to catch the nasty mud in his mouth!

Mom kept yelling at him but I guess he was hungry!

We tried to take a family photo before we drove home but this is the best we could do! I'm the only well-behaved dog in the family! :)

Swimming Time!

It's been in the 90's for weeks! Jack and I haven't been getting much exercise so Mom and Dad took us swimming! This is the walkway to the river...

It was REALLY pretty out, despite the heat!

Jack and I are surveying the land...

Sometimes we take off and run at the speed of light, just for fun! Watch out, Jack

Chase me, Jack! Chase me!

It's HOT! Look at my tongue!

But I spot water! Hurray!

The river feels great!

Dad did a cannonball into the water. He's crazy!

The walk back was much cooler. However, Jack decided he didn't want to listen and walked on ahread.

Then he got put on the least. Na na naa na na!

Swimming!

Mom finally got home from her Mexico work trip! And she said she'd take us swimming as a special treat! It was about 90 degrees out so we were super excited.


This is Cupid. We are dog-sitting her for the weekend.


When Jack and I swim, it looks more like we're drowning!


Cupid swims very gracefully. Mom says she has something called webbed feet!


I finally convinced Jack to go in the deep end!


Unlike frisbee, I'm in charge of carrying the sticks!


Jack just comes along.


He would rather run around like a crazy dog on the shore!


We were having so much fun that Dad jumped in, too. We were having a race to the stick.


I won, of course!


Mom said we had major swamp butts!


We had to get LONG baths when we got home but it was worth it! I wish I could go swimming every day!
